Switzerland | From December 2024 to February 2025

From December 2024 to February 2025, a series of Restaurant Weeks branded Cheers & Cheese to EU took place in different Swiss cities!

 

Over the course of several weeks, the Luigia Group’s restaurants in Geneva, Meyrin, Lausanne, Opfikon and Zurich have been offering exclusive menus based on Grana Padano PDO and Prosecco DOC.

 

Each guest has received a small sample of Grana Padano and Prosecco as an aperitif.

Switzerland | December 2024 and January 2025

Between December 2024 and January 2025, three new events dedicated to Grano Padano PDO and Prosecco DOC were held in some of the most fascinating cities in Switzerland, Geneva, Lausanne and Zurich.

 

A selection of industry professionals and media representatives had the unique opportunity to deepen their knowledge of our excellent products under the guidance of Marco Sabellico, senior journalist and editor-in-chief of the famous Vini d’Italia guide by Gambero Rosso.

 

Guests enjoyed special menus prepared by the chefs of the restaurants hosting the events, based on the Grana Padano PDO aged 18 and 24 months, paired with a selection of Prosecco DOC and Prosecco DOC Rosé.

Switzerland | Lausanne, 3rd December 2024

On 3rd December 2024, a memorable masterclass was hosted at the Hospitality Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland, one of the best schools of its kind worldwide, training its students for managerial careers in the hospitality industry.

 

Organised in collaboration with Vinum Magazin, the masterclass deepened knowledge on Grana Padano PDO cheese (aged 10, 16 and 20 months) and Prosecco DOC and Prosecco Doc Rosé wines.

 

We had special opportunity to meet the students and share key information about our products, which were then tasted by the participants to gain a complete experience.

Switzerland | Zurich, 2 December 2024

On 2 December 2024, we were in the historic Zunfthaus zur Schmiede in Zurich, Switzerland, to take part in the exclusive Masterclass organised in the framework of Vinum Weintour, a series of seminars and masterclasses focused on the promotion of Europe’s most renowned wine regions.

 

The audience, composed of B2B operators and premium wine lovers, had the opportunity to discover the world of Prosecco DOC – here represented by 3 different producers – and Grana Padano DOP in 3 different maturation stages: 10-12 months, 16-18 months and Riserva, over 20 months.

 

Claudia Stern, author of Vinum Magazine, guided the guests’ tastings and offered precious advice on the best pairings and recipes. From the fruity notes of green apple and pear in the Extra Dry to the delicate elegance of the Brut, each sip told the story of the hills of north-eastern Italy, where the grapes of this protected classic, Prosecco, grow, here enhanced by the different versions of Grana Padano.

UK | Glasgow, 21st November 2024

On 21st November 2024, an exclusive Grana PDO & Prosecco DOC pairing event took place in the vibrant city of Glasgow at Ralph and Finns.

 

The event brought together a select group of F&B professionals and media representatives, who had the opportunity to be guided by cheese expert Ned Palmer and wine specialist Diana Thomson into the world of Grana Padano PDO (9/15/20 months) and Prosecco DOC. Guests could approach 3 stations showcasing 3 types of Grana Padano cheese and Prosecco DOC and Prosecco DOC Rosé wines, together with a series of unique dishes created by the chefs.

 

A heartfelt thank you to our guests and all those who supported us in celebrating quality European produce.

UK | London, 19th November 2024

On 19th November 2024, we hosted an exclusive Grana PDO & Prosecco DOC pairing event in the heart of London at Salt Yard Restaurant.

 

Cheese expert Emma Young and wine expert Elizabeth Hawthornthwaite shared their wisdom with our selected guests made of F&B professionals and media representatives, who had the pleasure to taste unique pairing of 3 types of Grana Padano cheese (9/15/20 months) and sparkling Prosecco DOC and Prosecco DOC Rosé, along with special dishes created by the chefs.

 

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us to toast to flavours, good times, and a love for fine European products.

Switzerland | Basel, 1st and 2nd November 2024

On 1st and 2nd November 2024, we organised two masterclasses at the Basel Wine Festival (Switzerland) where, in cooperation with Vinum Magazine, Switzerland’s leading wine magazine, we invited media and professionals to take part in a special journey into culinary delights.

Claudia Stern, author of VINUM, held a wine seminar and guided participants through a fascinating tasting of Prosecco DOC, perfectly paired with the incomparable flavour of Grana Padano AOC.

This was followed by cheese expert Wolfgang Fusenig, who provided valuable information on the production and characteristics of Grana Padano PDO, enhancing them through a tasting of three maturation stages  -Grana Padano aged 9, 16 and 20 months.
