On 2 December 2024, we were in the historic Zunfthaus zur Schmiede in Zurich, Switzerland, to take part in the exclusive Masterclass organised in the framework of Vinum Weintour, a series of seminars and masterclasses focused on the promotion of Europe’s most renowned wine regions.
The audience, composed of B2B operators and premium wine lovers, had the opportunity to discover the world of Prosecco DOC – here represented by 3 different producers – and Grana Padano DOP in 3 different maturation stages: 10-12 months, 16-18 months and Riserva, over 20 months.
Claudia Stern, author of Vinum Magazine, guided the guests’ tastings and offered precious advice on the best pairings and recipes. From the fruity notes of green apple and pear in the Extra Dry to the delicate elegance of the Brut, each sip told the story of the hills of north-eastern Italy, where the grapes of this protected classic, Prosecco, grow, here enhanced by the different versions of Grana Padano.
